The Perm State University of Medicine is named after EA Wagner Academic. A significant scientific centre that is known for higher medical education and scientific research acknowledges this. PSMU ranks among Russia’s leading medical universities. The Perm State University of Medicine was established in 1916. University completed 100 years of existence in the year 2016.

PSMU is a member of The Medical Schools Council of Europe. Since 1992 the university has been mentioned in the State Registry of Foreign Economic Relations Participants; the pre-training, pre-diploma and postgraduate education programs prepare foreign students. Two operating polyclinics are present at the University. There are nine well furnished, comfortable hospitals attached to the University. More than 1,600 foreign students from 21 countries worldwide (India, Morocco, Sudan, Algeria, Pakistan, Zimbabwe, Afghanistan, Israel and Germany, Azerbaijan, Ukraine, Uzbekistan, Moldova)
